sorry. i know i took forever. usual lazy arsed me...
okie wimbledon...oh mannn...absolutely loved it. it was an amazingly nice day, the weather was great (granted abit chilly in the morning, but hey thats what my jacket is for! haha!), the company was good, the players were oh so unbelievable, it was just great!
okie so i got up at 5.30 am. and i pon school la. got to the station at abt 6.00 am. took the train down with tom and scott, we arrived at wimbledon at 8.30 i think? then we started to queue. and my gosh the queue was so long. it was crazy. it went into this ginormous field, and just zig-zag around it, increasing surface area so more ppl can queue (;p)...so the three of us entertain ourselves by talking to ppl, and amongst ourselves. There was also food stands and those kinda things around. But it was dam ex la. a rip off. a bacon roll (which basically consists of two strips of bacon on bread) cost 4 quid, or 12 dollars. rip offffffffffff!!!
we each received a queue card. that show us where we were in the queue. mine was number 2300 or smth i think. mad huh. i think only first 600 get centre court, no 1 and no 2 courts. sianned. i was quite bummed when i found out we cldnt get in.
anyway we finally got to the ticket booth at 11 plus. paid 17 quid for the grounds only ticket. got in...and saw this big massive board with the play of the days on it. amazing. i was shaking. hahaha.
then we tried to look for big names to watch that wasnt on the main courts. we saw nalbandian, grosjean, dementieva, etc...so it didnt look that bad la. and we thus began exploring the grounds. and to my great fortune, guess who we bumped into!!!!
we were walking between these two courts...on the pavement, and there was a big crowd...i looked up to my left...and then:
"eh...*look carefully*....oh my bludddy ***** * * * * ***** ITS NADAL!!! RAFAEL NADAL!!!!"
i excitedly shook my mates' hands (and at this point, they regarded me quite suspiciously...), and i almost squealed its nadal...AAAA...
we stayed and watched. i took pics. he was practising with some teen looking kid. i think it might be his bro or smth. after a while my frens moved on. i stayed. no suprise. i was watching him hit. it was amazing. so hard la wah lau. so low. jus over the net that kinda thing. and he nvr ever mis-hits a shot. nvr. amazing. he ran up to the net, did some AMAZING drop volleys and other shit...wah lau. i cldnt believe it. he is dam tall also la wah lau. and his muscles. omg..so dua. hahahaa.
i turned to the right, nxt court. and voila, it was andre agassi practising with his trainer. amazing stuff. his returns from serves are amazing la. so GOOOOOD. and he's so nice hahaha. at this point i went to the bench to sit down and watch, and i smsed tina. ahhaha!
then i moved seats cos my frens were sitting at the end of the court.
at the end of the training, andre came out, and HE WALKED PAST WHERE I WAS SITTING EARLIER!!! BASKET. AND HE STOPPED AND SIGNED AND TALKED TO SOME PPL THEREEEEEEE..........I WANTED TO KILL MYSELF. SERIOUSLY. URGH.
oh and ofcos after he finished practising, he did his customary "thankyou" to everyone on the sidelines. nadal did too, and he stopped and signed almost everything he could. his minders had to push him along. SO NICE RIGHT!! : D
check out nadals forehand stroke. SO NICE. hahahaha.
yea anyway after all the practice came the real matches. the ballboys and girls vv professional one lor. the first match we watched was a ladies doubles. we left halfway after 1st set...went to walk around buy food and see other matches.
and then we ended up on henman hill (soon to be murray mount), its a hill, that faces a big screen outside centre court. loads of ppl go there to support like henman last time, hence the name. and there we sat for awhile, watching agassi play the kido. i had strawberries and cream on my hands, and the other two had pimms and lemonade (which was btw 6 quid. siao).
Then we watched afew more matches. Men's doubles is dam exciting. wah lau so fast pace la. the ball is zooming around. and the winners and smashes is amazing. they jus smash it in whenever its a high ball la under any situation. its so great. we also watched elena dementieva play...her muscles are dam big la wah lau!!!
Then we went to watch grosjean, a whole game. he beat jamie delgado, who is english. so everyone was supporting jamie, and i was the only one supporting sebastian. hahaha!! and i was wearing the WATCH OUT WIMBLEDON shirt. and the camera looked in my direction a couple of times lor!!! HAHAH i think i was on telly man!
look at his service motion. so nice!
yea basically it was liddat lor. wimbledon. dam worth it.
alright anyway, wad happened the nxt few days after that....or rather week...hmm.
we bought a trampoline!! A very big one for the garden. The kind u can jump jump jump and do somersaults and all that. i will take pic nxt time. ahhaa.
ermmm...my dad got stringing machine liao. i gonna learn. so nxt time need to restring racket send them over hahahah!
oh and got my singels and doubles final this saturday. under18. wish me luck!!!
oh and i got in school tennis squad, more or less hahaha. which is good. can write in reference.
gonna take my driving prac in late august. stay tuned!
oh and world cup, after england lost, the whole nation so sad la. and everyone hates cristiano ronaldo now. so sad eh.
erm..lets see what else...oh i dun really need to walk home anymore nowadays, despite living 10 mins away roughly. cos so many ppl drive, when they ask me whether i want a lift i always oblige. ahhahahaha. so shoik. dun need to walk in tnhe sweltering heat.
oh and yes i went to nottingham again for another medical course. medsim. wah lau. most ppl are like quite funny la. like weird. those kinda vv enthu enthu kind. like during orientation those kinda xtra ahahah. i jus stand there with gwyn and laugh la. some of them ah, my gosh. got one randomly talk to us, jus suddenly went: "do you know!! if u got shot in ur leg, due to the rifling effect of the rifle on the bullet, it would not travel straight thru but might come out of ur shoulder or head???!!!" and we were like WHAT THE HECK. hahahaha!! SO GAY la.
one more week of scoo! nxt wednesday last day. woohoO! then six weeks holidayyyy!!!
