no kick!

lets see, ah yes during the holidays. guess what? remember the subway concert thingey? the rock band? we got to shepherds’ bush, London at abt 7ish pm and we found a notice at the box office:

“due to unforeseen circumstances, the subway’s concert has been postponed”

oh my days!! how irritating was that? I jus felt abit sian diao. I thot at least I got to go home early lol. aaa well.

work experience at st george’s hospital was insightful, if boring. cos that hospital was a rehabilitation hospital. mostly admitting elderly patients post-op, post-stroke, etc. so there wasn’t much action so as to speak. I was following a junior doctor around, and we were talking to this old man behind the curtains in the ward. not that it was much conversation considering he was disorientated and out of breath (he had dementia amongst other things I think). anyway we heard a bang and when we opened the curtain, found that an old man had fell. and hit his head on the bed or smth, cos he was bleeding. he was lying there on the floor like a baby, quivering and his eyes were pleading for help. the junior doc ran off to get the senior doc and nurses, leaving me there standing. I was stunned at first. then all I did was jus knelt beside him, held his hand for awhile and told him not to move and not to worry. he was like reaching towards me and his face jus looked, scared?

50% of elderly ppl older than 80 suffer falls. if I am not wrong. whereas in us falls are not that awful, for these old fragile ppl, it often means a broken hip or fatality.

anyway there was a laceration on the back of his head. the senior doc came and wash the mess of wound and hair with saline solution. the old man flinched. he then had to shave the hair that was blocking the wound. looked painful. the old man didn’t look at all comfortable. then he stitched him back up quickly.

I also saw a doc told another old man he might have cancer in his lungs, saw x rays of collapsed spines, etc…

and I think I still wanna be a doctor!

oh yea during holidays went to matt’s house twice. fun la! we played stuff like SUPER SMASH BROS (woohoo!), MARIO TENNIS, freedom fighters, etc.

and oh I got a last minute call last sunday / saturday as well. another friend of mine had a spare ticket to westham again! hahah! and this time the seats were dam nice la. alongside the pitch, at the dug-out’s side. westham vs mancity. saw shaun newton score. and sang and jumped with the fans when he did!!

anyway enough chatter and on to pictures!!

check out the number of people in the stadium. amazing. i think the attendance that day was 30,000 +++.

look at all the fans going home after a match. its mad la. traffic stops, trains become jam packed full of ppl...

yea so anyway the matches were amazing. anyone must at least experience it once. to see the fans singing, cheering, the great magnitude of the occasion. and of the course, when they play the premierleague song before the match, lol. the shudder across the skin, the goosepimples. its amazing!

okie anyway, during the holidays, i went to visit mountfitchet castle with my two cousins, my sister, and their teacher. My sister and our cousin, both 10. the other cousin is my age, benny. the teacher right, like quite often come round to either of our houses for tea (if u recall, one of my very first posts for this blog, i was in the garden typing it, having scones and tea, and he was there too...). yea he is always giving them gifts arh, being nice and all that. so anyway our parents wanted to send me and benny along, and to be honest, we were quite interested to see the castle anyway so of we went.

and thats me stuck. whatcha call these thingeys? i forgot!

yea la it wasnt the most exciting trip but it was okie.
exams are coming dammit!!!! i havnt gone in to mugger mode yet!!!!

lol and my last blog entry dam gay eh. cant help it. hahaha!!

OH my new bed arrived last week. its so nice to sleep in ahhaha! the mattress dam comfortable. and its a small double bed. so i can roll around hahaahha!!! first night jamie opted to sleep beside me tho. so cannot roll around as much lol!

why this wkend not so many ppl online? everyone studying or something?
