so i shall skip the airport and plane part. boring. haha. on the plane jus slept. it was a two hr journey only anyway. got there at 10 pm (roughly). spain is one hour ahead of UK.
it was too late to do anything much (oh we did do smth)..so we jus grabbed some grub (chips, burgers, hot dogs, salads, drinks, etc.) and head off to bed later. played cards and chatted deep into the night with my cousins before bedtime.
time to giv some background info of the place so that the rest of the story makes sense:
i landed at MALAGA airport. the resort was in this area known as COSTA DEL SOL (which means city of the sun...think i mentioned this before. haha.). it was a beautiful lovely place. rundown but that only added to the stripped down, bare beauty of the place (pun fully intended of cos... :D) the coastal area nearby was called FUENGIROLA. the hotel i stayed in was GIDEA PARK HOTEL. and included with the payment of our rooms were:
1) free breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet....at regulated time slots.
2) free flow of burgers, chips, hotdogs, salads thruout the day when the buffet is not ready or not during buffet operational hours.
3) free access to the bar and free flow of softdrinks, cocktails, fruitjuices and alchoholic drinks (of cos this is for over-16s only...indicated by the colour of the wristband we wore...but i admit i had a couple of drinks.)
so on the whole not bad...though the food was pretty substandard.
yup. so that day after we arrived, after chowing down the grub, we decided to go for a walk along the coastal area. our party splitted into two grps. i went with my two cousins and their fren. so there we were walking down the beach with the seawater tickling our toes. then my cousin (who's 19, 20 ) turned to me and said: "we shld do some wrestling..."
hmmm sounds like fun doesnt it? i mean i nvr wrestled at night on the beach in singapore before did i? lol.
so we took off our tops, drew out a arena with our feet. just a circle really. and we took turns. just me and my two cousins. our fren was a girl and its definitely a no-no to wrestle with a girl...for obvious reasons.
of cos i got chopped down fairly quik. i am so small compared to them. haha. english food has some growth hormone or smth in it i swear. i was whipped arnd like some willow in a storm. haha. ended up with sand on me pretty quik. but i got my revenge later. cos i tackled both of them down later. haha.
so that was that. haha.
moments after that bout,
cousin (same one that suggested the madcap wrestling): "if u and benny (my other cousin) dip urselves in the water for ten seconds...i'll give each of u 5 euros...."
woo. 5 euros is like jus a bit more than 10 sing dollars. some money.
haha u guys are prolly thinking "GO ON!! DIP! how easy can that be??".
hahah. wrong!! it was at night. the sea there...it aint no sentosa. the waters were frm the mediterrean (i think...), it was MIGHTY COLD. i am talking REALLY REALLY COLD. LIKE WATER COOLER WATER (the really cold ones mind u. not like the SAJC's one at the back of the gallery. haha.).
but in short. we did it. got the 5 euros. haha. yay. right.
then we head back up the hotel....each of us took a quik shower, and went to bed. haha. thats it. that was sunday.
i'll try and update more generally abt my trip nxt time. i cant possibly do a day to day write-up. both u guys and me will die writing/reading. haha. so yup. try and write tmr. until then, see ya again. take care.
